My Story

I’m an artist, designer and photographer — a very creative, can’t be tamed, out of the box thinker and re-inventor of the wheel with an abstract and peculiar point of view that drives everything I do and everything I create.

I’m also an avid student and researcher of women’s development, coaching and mentoring specifically on identity and transformation.

I’ve been told to be realistic, to conform to the ways of everyone else in my small town, to worry about what everyone else thinks — all so I’d be accepted.

Admittedly, I tried it for a minute.

But for whose benefit — obviously not mine.

It stifled me. That wasn’t how I wanted to live my life. Contained. In a box. Breaking to submission rather than building on a foundation of trust and respect.

So I didn’t. And I won’t.

I’ve never accepted “this is how it’s always been done.”

This is how I approach everything — all of my designs, photos, herd management, operations and my ranchy women’s platform, Can’t Be Tamed™.

And it’s working. Very differently, but it works for me.

The future

L Bar M™ was born out of a desire to blaze my own trail — to build something multifaceted, taking pieces of everything I’ve done professionally and creatively, combined with everything I’m working toward now, making something entirely my own. And in doing so, being an example to other women that it can be done.

Differently. Boldly. Fiercely. Unapologetically.

In these times we’re living in, I believe the western lifestyle needs to be preserved. But I also believe we can be grounded in heritage and foundation while thinking outside the box.

The future of L Bar M™ is already taking shape.

New barns being designed and going up soon for weanlings coming this fall. A few more calves due this fall with a handful of new heifers to follow. A growing herd of intentionally bred cattle — hardy, beautiful. Horses soon to be making a name for themselves, carrying foundational cow horse bloodlines into the next generation. Dedicated management systems to keep it all straight — one for cattle and one for horses.

Two brands of apparel, accessories and home decor — L Bar M™ RanchWear and L Bar M™ RanchCouture — built to honor the western lifestyle and the heritage it represents, for the woman who lives it every day.

A platform built on real experience and real resources — and one for ranchy women who Can’t Be Tamed™.

A creative agency building legacy brands for the riders, trainers and breeders who are actively and intentionally preserving the foundational bloodlines, cultivating the next generations of the Western Performance Horse Industry.

And photography that captures the moments and the feelings that families and future generations will one day be grateful someone thought to preserve.

L Bar M™ is my dream. And it’s coming true.
